Posters community standards

These standards explain how Posters should create, assign, and manage tasks fairly and safely. They should be read with the Terms and Conditions and other published policies.

Post a genuine, lawful task

  • Describe a specific outcome, scope, timing, location, access needs, and realistic budget.
  • Do not post illegal, unsafe, adult, alcohol-related, promotional, lead-generation, data-harvesting, or otherwise restricted activity.
  • State any licence, qualification, equipment, or material requirement.
  • Do not include public contact details or sensitive personal information.

Review and assign fairly

  • Compare the offer, profile, reviews, portfolio, and relevant credentials.
  • Ask task-related questions respectfully and do not discriminate or harass.
  • Accept only an offer within the funded task budget. Fund any agreed increase through SpotOnTask first.
  • Do not request unpaid test work, artificial reviews, or misleading activity.

Keep the task and payment on SpotOnTask

The task is funded when posted. Do not move payment, deposits, tips, reimbursements, or refunds to cash or another service. Record scope, schedule, access, and material changes in task chat.

During and after the work

  • Provide safe, lawful access and disclose relevant hazards.
  • Respond reasonably to questions and changes.
  • Inspect the agreed work before releasing payment.
  • If there is a problem, keep evidence in task chat and contact support before paying or refunding elsewhere.
  • Leave an honest review based on the completed task; do not use reviews as leverage.

Privacy and respectful conduct

Contact and access details should only be shared privately when needed for an assigned task. Threats, harassment, discrimination, fraud, misleading content, and attempts to manipulate reviews or marketplace records are prohibited.

Breaches

SpotOnTask may remove content or apply warnings, posting restrictions, suspension, or termination depending on severity and history. Report concerns from the task or through Contact Us.
